Job description

Embark on an exciting opportunity supporting preschool and childcare students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference, helping young learners in the Bethlehem and Stroudsburg areas reach vital developmental milestones. Beginning August 18, 2026, and extending through July 30, 2027, you’ll enjoy a consistent Monday-Friday schedule from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM, working 37.5 hours each week.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required
  • Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings is highly desirable
  • Strong ability to collaborate with OT supervisors, teachers, and support staff
  • Comfortable working across multiple preschool and childcare locations
  • Adaptability and creativity in responding to changing caseloads (starting with 30 students, increasing up to 50)
  • Solid organizational skills and the ability to manage documentation and scheduling tasks independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children, families, and educational staff

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct therapy services to preschool and childcare students as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
  • Assist in implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) and therapeutic activities
  • Support assessments, data collection, and accurate record-keeping for each student on caseload
  • Collaborate with classroom staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into daily routines
  • Communicate progress and recommend adjustments to therapy plans as needed
