Step into a dynamic school-based position in the picturesque Midcoast Maine region, serving K-8 students across three welcoming communities. You'll make a meaningful difference as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), supporting learners as they develop essential skills for academic and personal success.

In this contract position, youll work two days each weekspending a full day at one of the three schools and half days at the others. Your primary focus will be with middle-school-aged students, providing hands-on support and working in close collaboration with engaging educators. Onsite supervision will be provided to ensure you have the guidance needed to excel and grow in your role.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current COTA licensure in Maine (or eligibility to obtain)
• Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt to the unique needs of K-8 students
• Enthusiasm for helping children achieve their goals in a school environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement therapy interventions under the supervision of an OT according to student IEPs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop strategies supporting student independence
• Maintain accurate records and track progress toward individual goals
• Communicate regularly with educators and families to share updates and recommendations
• Travel between the three assigned school sites each week
