Job description

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students across multiple school sites in the Arlington Heights and Elgin, IL area as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA). This full-time position offers consistent hours, a varied caseload, and the chance to make a positive impact from Pre-K through transition-age (up to 22) students. You'll travel between elementary, middle, and high schools, with daily schedules that shift according to each sites academic calendar. This role remains strictly on-site, allowing you to engage hands-on with students and staff.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid clinical license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
• Active educator license issued by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
• Previous school-based occupational therapy experience is highly valued
• Ability to work effectively across Pre-K to transition-aged students
• Fingerprinting and credentialing will need to be completed promptly

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to an assigned caseload of students, collaborating with teachers and special education teams
• Assess students skills and create individualized treatment plans to support their academic participation and functional independence
• Travel between multiple school sites within the district, adapting to varying schedules and needs
• Maintain thorough documentation of services, progress, and outcomes per district and state guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute as part of a multidisciplinary team
