Job description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity in the Bethlehem, PA area, supporting elementary-aged students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). Key Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree in Occupational Therapy required
- Active Pennsylvania state license
- Experience in a school-based setting or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt therapy strategies to fit individual student goals
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to elementary students, following individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate closely with supervising Occupational Therapists, educators, and families to monitor progress and adjust interventions
- Document session notes and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state regulations
- Adapt therapy techniques and materials to address the diverse needs of the student caseload
- Contribute to multi-disciplinary team meetings, offering insights and input on student progress
This contract assignment is full-time, covering 35 hours per week, and begins as soon as possible through the end of the current school year. The hourly pay ranges from $35 to $45, reflecting your qualifications and experience.
