A contract opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapist to provide telehealth services in a school setting. This role involves supporting two 7-year-old students requiring direct therapy, with a total commitment of 1 to 2 hours per week, including both direct and indirect time. The position is based in Shiprock, NM, with virtual Occupational Therapists also being considered for telehealth delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver 30 minutes of direct Occupational Therapy services weekly to each student, tailored to their individual needs
- Collaborate with educational staff to support student progress and adapt therapy plans as necessary
- Complete documentation, progress notes, and participate in virtual meetings to discuss student outcomes
- Utilize telehealth platforms effectively for remote therapy sessions if applicable
- Maintain compliance with school policies, privacy standards, and therapeutic protocols
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license and credentials
- Experience delivering school-based Occupational Therapy services
- Skilled in providing telehealth therapy for pediatric clients
- Ability to manage a caseload with strong organizational and communication skills
- Knowledge of pediatric developmental milestones and school-related therapeutic interventions
