Job description

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary students as a full-time Occupational Therapist for a 12-week maternity leave contract, with excellent potential for extension. This role focuses on Pre-K through 5th grade within a dynamic school environment near Lynn, MA, offering 37.5 hours per week of engaging, meaningful work.

Your expertise will help children develop key functional skills essential for their academic and personal success. You’ll collaborate closely with teachers, families, and other professionals to create an inclusive and supportive environment.

What we’re looking for:

  • Valid OT licensure in Massachusetts (or eligible for licensure)
  • Background in school-based occupational therapy, with experience serving elementary (PK-5) students
  • Adaptability to support students both in traditional classroom and home health settings, as needed
  • Familiarity with IEP processes, goal setting, and progress monitoring
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills with educators, administrators, and parents
  • Ability to manage time and caseload effectively in a busy school environment
  • Positive attitude and a passion for encouraging student growth and independence

Key responsibilities:

  • Assess students’ needs and develop individualized intervention plans
  • Implement evidence-based OT services in both classroom and, as required, home settings
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary IEP meetings and documentation
  • Monitor progress and adjust interventions to maximize student success
  • Provide consultation to teachers, staff, and families on strategies and accommodations
  • Help facilitate smooth transitions for students as they advance grades
