Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students' growth and success as an Occupational Therapist in a vibrant educational community. This full-time position focuses on serving elementary-aged learners, ages 3 through 5th grade, and is available for the 2026-2027 school year (August 10, 2026 – June 8, 2027). With four onsite openings, you'll play a vital role in providing specialized therapy to students across multiple schools, with flexibility to discuss specific assignments during the interview process.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Maryland OT license required
  • Previous pediatric or school-based OT experience strongly preferred
  • Expertise in supporting students with high-level autism, communication needs, and behavioral challenges
  • Ability to collaborate with fellow therapists, instructional teams, and student support staff
  • Strong organizational skills to manage a dynamic and varied caseload

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to elementary-aged students as part of their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Assess, plan, and implement interventions focusing on academic life skills, sensory integration, fine motor development, and social participation
  • Work closely with educators and families to support communication and behavior needs; robust district resources and support available
  • Utilize the district’s strong mentorship program for professional development and collaboration
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and ongoing case reviews
  • Set your own weekly schedule (35 hours per week; 21 hours designated for direct services) with oversight from building administration

Why You’ll Love This Role: Therapists enjoy exceptional scheduling flexibility, with the ability to arrange your workday to best meet student needs and personal preferences. Benefit from a supportive, team-oriented environment, robust mentoring, and district-level behavioral supports that empower you to make a meaningful impact for each child.
