Job description

Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity as a school-based Occupational Therapist, serving K-12 students across two campuses in the Bridgeport, CT area. This full-time position runs through June 7, 2027, allowing you to make a lasting impact on students growth and daily success.

Key Qualifications:

  • Connecticut Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred
  • Comfortable working with diverse disabilities, including Emotional Disturbance (ED), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), and Learning Disabilities (LD)
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt interventions to individual student needs

What Youll Do:

  • Provide direct and consultative OT services for students in grades K-12 across multiple campuses
  • Assess, develop, and implement individualized therapy plans in collaboration with IEP teams
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation of student progress and treatment
  • Support students with self-regulation, fine motor, sensory processing, and functional life skills
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure successful integration of therapy goals in the classroom
  • Adjust caseload management and intervention plans to reflect diverse needs, with potential for supervision of COTAs
