Two full-time school-based occupational therapy roles are availableone as a school-year position, and the other providing maternity leave coverage from August through March. Youll join a dedicated team serving K-12 students with mild to severe needs across diverse settings.
Qualifications:
- Active California OT license (required)
- Previous CA schools experience, ideally across K-12 with a range of disabilities
- Proficiency in administering BOT-3 and Peabody assessments for students ages 3-22
- Strong analytical skills to utilize data in addressing parent concerns and supporting service recommendations
- Must be comfortable working independently, managing fluctuating caseloads, creating your own schedule, and operating with minimal supervision
- Bilingual Spanish preferred but not required
- Ability to serve itinerant assignments as caseload demands
- No OTAs; position requires independent fieldwork
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and document OT evaluations and assessments
- Provide direct/indirect therapy services to students
- Communicate effectively to support IEP teams and parent discussions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff while functioning independently in the field
