Job description
Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting students growth and independence in a collaborative school-based environment near Sanford, NC. This role is a chance to apply your skills and passion for pediatric occupational therapy, driving meaningful impact throughout the academic year.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, active North Carolina Occupational Therapy (OT) license required
- Previous experience in a K-12 school setting is highly preferred
- National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) credentials
- Strong communication skills for working with teachers, students, and families
- Ability to manage time and caseload efficiently
- Commitment to fostering student participation and success in classroom activities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver direct therapy services to students individually and in groups
- Collaborate with teachers and multidisciplinary educational staff
- Monitor, assess, and document student progress toward goals
- Provide input on IEPs and attend necessary meetings
- Educate staff and families on strategies to support student development
- May support multiple schools or service locations as student needs require
This opportunity runs from early November 2026 to late May 2027 with a commitment of 37.5 hours per week. You will play a critical role in enhancing student learning and engagement, contributing to an inclusive learning environment.
