Job description
A rewarding contract opportunity awaits professionals passionate about making an impact in school-based therapy. Bring your expertise as an Occupational Therapist to support K-8 students across two sites near Salinas, CA. Candidates can expect a dynamic environment with a manageable caseload and the opportunity to consult and collaborate within the educational community.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and unencumbered Occupational Therapy license in California
- Experience with pediatric and school-based caseloads preferred
- Solid clinical skills for evaluation, intervention, and documentation
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- Comfortable working across multiple sites
- Reliable, professional, and highly organized
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to a caseload of 38 or more students, as well as provide additional consultations as needed
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the student support team
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to documentation and progress reports
- Travel between two campuses, ensuring continuity and quality of care
- Foster a supportive and encouraging environment that promotes student success and independence
- Maintain caseload documentation for compliance and best practice
You will work a full 40-hour onsite week during the academic year, with 30 minutes allotted for an unpaid lunch break each day. Interviews for this role will occur after mid-July due to director availability, but applications and presentation of qualified candidates are being accepted now.
