Qualifications:

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Current Occupational Therapist licensure valid in Rhode Island
• Previous experience in school-based OT or pediatric settings is highly valued
• Skilled in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and interventions
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Compassion, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify students’ functional needs within the educational environment
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized occupational therapy interventions
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate closely with teachers, school staff, and parents
• Document progress, maintain records, and provide regular updates on student outcomes
• Offer support and education for school staff on accommodations and strategies to encourage student participation
• Maintain compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and standards
