Job description

Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students across K-12 with a wide range of needs. Two dynamic opportunities are available: one is a full-time, full school year position, and the other provides full-time maternity leave coverage with an anticipated start in August and conclusion in March. Both positions will serve students ages 3-22 and require a skilled professional ready to manage fluctuating caseloads involving mild to severe disabilities.

Your expertise in administering the BOT 3 and Peabody assessments will be central as you address diverse student profiles. You’ll manage your own flexible schedule to meet district needs, often working independently in the field. A strong ability to utilize data to address parent concerns and craft effective service recommendations is essential, as collaboration opportunities with district staff will be limited. If you thrive in a dynamic environment and can confidently navigate itinerant responsibilities, this role is for you.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active California OT license required
  • Prior experience working in California school settings
  • Proficiency in administering BOT 3 and Peabody assessments to students ages 3-22 with multiple disabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to use assessment data for intervention planning and parent communication
  • Capacity to independently create and manage schedules across changing caseloads
  • Comfortable working without the supervision of OTAs
  • Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus, though not required

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments, consultations, and ongoing therapy for students across various campuses
  • Engage with mild to severe caseloads, adapting to fluctuating demands
  • Document and communicate recommendations, regularly utilizing data to support service decisions
  • Collaborate effectively with families, teachers, and, when possible, district representatives

Ready to make an immediate impact while advancing your career in school-based OT? Apply now to bring your expertise and autonomy to a role where you can truly make a difference for students and families.

Compensation for this position ranges from $43.86 to $63.86. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
