Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in California
- Experience in school-based OT settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and school staff
- Ability to adapt therapy strategies for varying needs and age groups
- Commitment to working in-person within Fairfield and Vacaville regions throughout the academic year
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students requiring occupational therapy
- Provide direct intervention, both individual and group, to help students develop fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to integrate OT strategies into classroom settings
- Complete progress reports, maintain documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
- Support students in achieving goals that maximize independence and participation in school activities
