Job description

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students' growth and success as a dedicated Occupational Therapist in a school-based setting. This position spans the 2026-2027 academic year, running from August 4, 2026, to May 28, 2027, and offers the chance to make a meaningful difference across PreK through 12th grades. With a typical caseload of 45-50 students and a stable weekly schedule of 37.5 hours, you'll collaborate within a supportive educational team environment near Chapin, SC.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Active Occupational Therapy (OT) license for South Carolina (or eligibility to obtain before the start date)
  • Demonstrated experience in school-based OT, home health, or general healthcare OT settings
  • Strong clinical skills in assessment, intervention planning, and documentation
  • Ability to effectively serve diverse learners from PreK through 12th grade
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with educators, parents, and related service staff
  • Organizational abilities to manage caseload responsibilities efficiently
  • Previous experience with caseloads of similar size is highly favored

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for students referred for services
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to support student access to curriculum and daily functioning
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education professionals, and families for student-centered care
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide required documentation
  • Monitor and record student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
  • Foster a positive, compassionate, and adaptable learning environment
