Job description
Step into a fulfilling opportunity supporting K-12 students with your expertise as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC). This contract role offers the chance to make a significant impact across 2-3 schools in the vibrant Newbury Park, CA area.
You'll work closely with students facing a range of communication or occupational challenges, collaborating with educators and families to foster growth and achievement. With a manageable caseload averaging 65 students and a full 40-hour workweek, you can provide meaningful, relationship-based care while enjoying a varied and dynamic work environment.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy or Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state licensure (OT or SLP-CCC)
- Experience with K-12 student populations
- Familiarity with IEP systems and service documentation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to travel between assigned schools as needed
- Prior experience in a school-based setting is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect SLP or OT services to K-12 students
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families
- Maintain thorough documentation and stay current with student records
- Participate in paid team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary efforts
- Ensure adherence to caseload management models and district policies
- Itinerant work between 2-3 campuses with paid travel time
