Job description

Step into a dynamic educational environment supporting K-8 students as a school-based Occupational Therapist on a contract assignment! This opportunity offers a full-time schedule across two school sites, providing essential services to a caseload of 38+ students, along with consultations for students and staff. Your expertise will play a critical role in helping students develop the skills they need to succeed both in and out of the classroom.

In this position, you’ll have the rewarding experience of collaborating directly with educators and families while working onsite with a supportive team. Interviews for this role will be scheduled when the director returns in mid-July, giving you time to prepare and gather any necessary documentation.

Requirements and Preferred Experience:

  • Active and unrestricted California Occupational Therapist license
  • Previous experience as a school-based OT preferred
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a diverse caseload
  • Strong clinical assessment, intervention planning, and documentation skills
  • Commitment to building positive relationships with students, staff, and families
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based OT services to students in grades K-8 across two sites
  • Develop individualized goals and implement therapy plans to address students' needs
  • Provide consultative support to teachers, staff, and families
  • Maintain thorough documentation and participate in IEP meetings
  • Contribute to collaborative problem-solving and professional development initiatives
