Desired Skills & Experience:
- Valid and current Occupational Therapist (OTR) license in California, or eligibility to obtain
- Previous pediatric or school-based OT experience highly valued
- Strong knowledge of IEPs and special education processes
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Adaptability for traveling between campuses during the school day
- Enthusiasm for working with diverse student populations in multiple educational settings
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct OT assessments and design individualized treatment plans for students with varying needs
- Implement therapy sessions that promote functional and academic skills
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and parents regarding student progress and accommodations
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings as required
- Travel between assigned school sites to deliver services
- Serve as a key resource for best practices in school-based occupational therapy
