Occupational Therapist School Setting in Hubert, NC

Job description

Make a meaningful impact by bringing your expertise as an Occupational Therapist to a supportive school setting near Hubert, NC. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work onsite with a highly engaged student caseload, ranging from elementary to middle school (45 to 50 students), for 37.5 hours per week.

Qualifications:

• Valid North Carolina Occupational Therapist license required
• School-based OT experience is highly desirable
• Background in healthcare and/or home health OT a plus
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Strong organizational abilities for managing a diverse caseload

Responsibilities:

• Assess students needs and develop individualized treatment plans to support their physical, emotional, and social development within the school environment
• Deliver direct therapy services to students, tracking progress and adjusting interventions as needed
• Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment
• Provide consultation and training to staff regarding adaptive strategies and classroom modifications
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and district requirements
