Job description
Step into an engaging role supporting students across multiple school sites as a full-time occupational therapist for the upcoming academic year. This contract opportunity spans from August 17th to June 3rd, offering a chance to make a meaningful impact within a dynamic PreK–12 environment. You'll provide services to a diverse student population, helping them succeed physically, academically, and socially in their school day.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as an OT
- Recent experience working in schools or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with staff, students, and families
- Passion for fostering student independence, participation, and engagement in daily activities
Core Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students’ needs to develop individualized and group occupational therapy interventions
- Provide direct therapy services at 2–3 school sites serving students from preschool through 12th grade
- Collaborate closely with educators and families to integrate therapy strategies into classroom routines
- Maintain thorough documentation, progress reports, and participate in IEP meetings as required
- Travel between schools within the Marion and Upper Sandusky area as needed
- Support a positive, inclusive learning environment that empowers every student
