Job description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity working with students from elementary through high school, utilizing your expertise in Occupational Therapy to make a genuine difference. This assignment, located near Arvada, CO, is perfect for professionals with a passion for supporting students' growth and participation in educational settings.
This onsite role offers a balanced schedule34 hours per week, working Tuesday through Friday, with Mondays off! You will spend three days in an elementary school setting, fostering foundational skills with younger students, and one day a week at a high school, helping older students achieve their highest level of independence and success.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Active and current Occupational Therapist (OT) licensure required
- Experience or strong interest in working in school-based environments
- Background in Occupational Health or similar experience preferred
- Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
- Dedicated to collaborative practice with teachers, staff, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized therapy plans
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students, addressing a range of needs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all sessions and student progress
- Provide consultation and support to teachers and staff, integrating therapy into the school environment
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with educational teams regarding student support
