Job description

Take on a rewarding opportunity working as an Occupational Therapist in the vibrant North Denver area! This contract position offers a chance to support student growth in a dynamic educational environment across a mix of elementary, middle, and homebound settings. Your expertise will provide vital assistance to a diverse caseload, with equitable workload distribution thoughtfully designed to ensure balanced assignmentsespecially for schools with younger students and specialized programs.

Key Qualifications:

  • Possession of a current Colorado OT License
  • Colorado Department of Education (DOE) license
  • DORA certification as required by state regulation
  • Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric OT setting is strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to work independently across multiple sites in an itinerant capacity
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with students, families, educators, and support staff

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to a caseload of approximately 4060 students, including direct and indirect interventions
  • Facilitate services across two elementary schools, one middle school, and provide support for homebound students as needed
  • Utilize strong documentation skills to maintain thorough records and service plans
  • Participate in IEP meetings, collaborate in multidisciplinary teams, and engage with families to promote student success
  • Attend and complete the required Summer Symposium New Hire Orientation (July 27th31st)
  • Fulfill a 32-hour work week, with scheduling flexibility to meet service and meeting requirements (spread over 4 or 5 days)
  • Uphold compliance with state and district policies and procedures
