Step into a meaningful role supporting students as a dedicated Occupational Therapist for the 2026-27 academic year. This contract position offers the chance to make a significant difference across PreK-12th grade classes, working 37.5 hours per week. You’ll serve schools in several vibrant communities near Cove City, NC, including New Bern, Havelock, James City, and Merrimon. Your expertise will help ensure students thrive by developing crucial skills for classroom success and everyday life.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Valid state license to practice Occupational Therapy
• Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
• Thorough understanding of IEP processes and documentation
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to multidisciplinary teamwork
• Ability to adapt strategies for diverse student populations

Responsibilities:

• Provide assessments, direct therapy, and consultation for PreK-12th grade students according to IEP goals
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeted at improving fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities needed for school participation
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to promote optimal student outcomes
• Document services, progress, and assessments accurately in accordance with school district protocols
• Participate in IEP meetings and professional development activities as needed
