Job description

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program
  • Valid state license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
  • Minimum of one year of recent experience, ideally in a school or pediatric environment
  • Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continued education as required by the state and district

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement therapeutic interventions tailored to each student’s goals, as outlined by the supervising OT
  • Deliver support in classroom and individual settings to promote functional skills and independence
  • Record daily progress and collaborate closely with the OT to refine treatment plans
  • Work in partnership with teachers, administrators, and parents to coordinate student support
