Job description

Pediatric Partners, part of the Sevita family, is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our collaborative pediatric therapy team in Grand Forks, ND. In this role, you'll work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help children build independence, confidence, and essential daily living skills while making a lasting difference for children and their families.

What You'll Do

As a Pediatric COTA, you'll support children with a wide range of developmental, physical, and functional needs. Responsibilities include:

  • Provide occupational therapy treatments in accordance with individualized treatment plans developed by a licensed Occupational Therapist.

  • Deliver therapeutic interventions, including fine motor, sensory integration, self-care, and functional skill development.

  • Perform active, passive, and resistive therapeutic exercises as appropriate.

  • Assist with splint fabrication under the direction of the Occupational Therapist and educate families on proper use and care.

  • Support therapy services in clinic, home, school, and community-based environments.

  • Collaborate closely with parents and caregivers to promote carryover of therapy strategies.

  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation, including daily notes and billing records.

  • Partner with an interdisciplinary team to provide coordinated, child-centered care.

  • Maintain therapy equipment, assist with inventory, and request supplies as needed.

  • Follow daily schedules and communicate with staff regarding scheduling adjustments.

  • Uphold confidentiality, ethical standards, and organizational policies.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) program with an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.).

  • Current COTA/L license in the state of North Dakota (or eligible to obtain prior to employment). Minnesota licensure is a plus.

  • Pediatric experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply.

  • Passion for working with children and families in a collaborative environment.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
