Remote Occupational Therapist in RI

A part-time opportunity is available for an occupational therapist to provide specialized services to a homebound student within their residence during the school year. This role requires delivering targeted occupational therapy interventions that support the student's educational and developmental needs through a home-based setting.

Location: Providence, Rhode Island
Employment Type: Contract, Onsite
Hours: Approximately 1 hour per week

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality occupational therapy services tailored to a medically vulnerable, homebound student
• Collaborate with educators and healthcare professionals to support the students individualized education plan (IEP) goals
• Maintain compliance with health and safety standards relevant to in-home care settings
• Document and report progress consistently to ensure effective communication with the educational team

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Rhode Island Occupational Therapist license required
• Demonstrated ability to provide effective occupational therapy services in home-based environments
• Knowledge of health and safety protocols when working with medically fragile populations
• Experience with telehealth services for occupational therapy is a plus
• Background in school-based occupational therapy and healthcare settings preferred
