Schedule/Hours:

  • Monday through Friday, with flexibility on shifts if needed

This role will see you floating between several facilities in the area, including Herrin, Memorial, and St. Joseph’s locations, enhancing your adaptability and broadening your therapeutic skill set.

Qualifications:

  • Current Occupational Therapy license in the state of Illinois (or eligibility)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required in all settings
  • NIHSS certification required in most hospital units
  • Preferred certifications depending on hospital/unit: ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and CSU-ALS
  • Strong clinical skills and adaptability to float between multiple facilities and units
  • Experience working in hospital-based therapy settings preferred
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality occupational therapy care to patients in various inpatient and acute care settings
  • Conduct evaluations, develop and implement treatment plans, and promote safe discharge planning
  • Adapt to diverse patient populations, diagnoses, and interdisciplinary team structures
  • Provide documentation and communication consistent with hospital policies and regulatory standards
  • Float between designated facilities as scheduled
