Your assignment will run from August 7, 2026, through October 15, 2026, with orientation sessions scheduled for August 3rd and 4th. You'll be part of a single elementary school supporting a resource and self-contained caseload on a full-time schedule (37.5 hours per week). Experience direct collaboration with teachers and families while making a real difference in students livesand add invaluable experience to your resume.
Qualifications & Experience
- Active Illinois State License (IDFPR) in Occupational Therapy
- Previous school-based OT experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Passion for supporting elementary-aged children in special education/resource settings
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver skilled occupational therapy to elementary students in resource and self-contained settings
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with educational staff, administrators, and family members
- Participate in IEP meetings and document student progress
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages student success
