Taking on this travel role expands your clinical expertise as you work in a dynamic rehab unit alongside talented professionals in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech. You’ll enhance your career profile by engaging with new workplace practices and leadership styles, gaining exposure to one of the leading Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems (Cerner), and contributing to a collaborative healthcare environment.
With a flexible schedule of four 10-hour shifts (7:00am–5:30pm), you’ll have ample time to explore Redding’s trails, lakes, and downtown hotspots—or simply relax and recharge. This is an especially welcoming setting for first-time travelers, with a supportive orientation and a team eager to foster your success.
Schedule/Hours:
- Four 10-hour shifts per week (7:00am–5:30pm)
- Every third weekend required
Qualifications:
- Active California Occupational Therapy license
- Minimum two years of occupational therapy experience
- At least one year of acute care hospital experience
- Current BLS certification
- Comfortable working in a multidisciplinary rehab setting
- Open to first-time travelers seeking career advancement
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive occupational therapy services to inpatients in the rehab unit
- Utilize Cerner EMR to document assessments, treatments, and progress notes
- Collaborate closely with PT, Speech, nursing, and ancillary staff for holistic patient care
- Participate in staff rotation for holidays as scheduled
- Dress professionally per hospital guidelines (burgundy polo or button-down, solid dark pants)
