Job description
A contract opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist skilled in telehealth to provide services in a school setting. This role focuses on delivering specialized care to young students, supporting their developmental and functional needs through virtual or in-person interventions.
Location: Fruitland, NM (Services to be provided in Shiprock, NM with telehealth options considered)
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering occupational therapy services to two students, each requiring 30 minutes of direct intervention weekly
- Allocating 1 to 2 hours weekly for both direct and indirect services, including documentation and collaboration
- Implementing tailored therapy plans for 7-year-old students to enhance their participation and independence within the school environment
- Maintaining compliance with state and federal guidelines related to school-based therapy services
- Utilizing telehealth technology effectively when providing virtual therapy
Qualifications:
- Current license as an Occupational Therapist with eligibility to practice in New Mexico
- Experience working in pediatric or school-based therapy settings
- Strong knowledge of telehealth platforms and ability to deliver remote services effectively
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently over the contract period
Duration: August 3 to May 19
