Job description

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity bringing essential OT services to students across all grade levels, from Pre-K through 12th grade. This full-time role supports a robust district-wide program, serving approximately 40 students and working closely with educators and families. Experience a healthy work-life balance with a 4-day schedule from Monday to Thursday, 8AM-4PM.

Utilize your expertise to provide critical interventions and support student development in an engaging teletherapy and on-site environment. You’ll also use your leadership skills by supervising a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), ensuring quality care and teamwork.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current Occupational Therapy license issued by the State of New Mexico (required)
  • Experience providing occupational therapy services in educational or school settings
  • Comfortable delivering both teletherapy and in-person OT services
  • Ability to work across a broad age range, from early childhood through high school
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Leadership abilities to supervise and mentor a COTA
  • Commitment to collaboration with teachers, admin, and families for student success

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based OT evaluations, interventions, and progress monitoring for students
  • Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to diverse student needs
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state requirements
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for holistic student support
  • Consult with staff and families, providing resources and guidance to maximize student outcomes
  • Oversee and guide the daily work of the assigned COTA, ensuring best practices
