Job description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity making a real impact in early childhood education. This position offers a part-time schedule of two days per week, and you’ll enjoy flexibility in choosing those days. You’ll work across three sites within a birth-to-five program, including Head Start and Early Head Start settings, providing occupational therapy support that shapes foundational skills in young learners.

You’ll serve as a collaborative partner with district teams, participating in IEP development and supporting the inclusion of children in the least restrictive environment. Your expertise will also extend to assisting home visitors when ISFP/IEP needs arise, with a designated home base provided for organization and planning. This multifaceted role empowers you to build relationships not just with students, but with their families—helping parents support their child’s growth and advocating for strategies that fit their routines and priorities.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist
  • Experience in school-based or pediatric OT settings strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of the IEP process and early intervention protocols
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong communication skills to support and coach parents
  • Flexible, organized, and comfortable working across multiple locations

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver OT services to children ages birth to five across Head Start programs
  • Collaborate with district staff for IEP planning and implementation
  • Provide consultative support to home visitors addressing ISFP/IEP needs
  • Educate and empower parents in supporting their children’s development
  • Maintain accurate documentation and manage scheduling across assigned sites

Step into a meaningful, flexible role supporting young children at a pivotal stage of development. If you’re passionate about early intervention and ready for a new part-time adventure in an educational setting, submit your application today!

Compensation for this position ranges from $39.46 to $59.46. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
