Job description
Make an immediate impact supporting students from PreK through 8th grade as a contract occupational therapist for the upcoming academic year. This role, set in a collaborative environment with other therapy professionals, centers on enhancing outcomes for children with diverse needs. Working full-time, you’ll have your own office space shared with a physical therapist and an adapted physical education specialist, plus regular assistance from a certified occupational therapy assistant one day each week.
Qualifications:
- Active and valid occupational therapy licensure required
- Previous experience as an OT in school settings strongly preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Dedication to fostering student growth and independence
- Ability to manage a diverse PreK–8 caseload and adapt interventions accordingly
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy to students across PreK through 8th grade
- Collaborate closely with educators, therapists, and support staff to develop and implement IEPs
- Provide assessments and document progress within required guidelines
- Consult with teachers and families to ensure continuity of student care and achievement of goals
- Maintain organized and compliant documentation for all services provided
