Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in California
- Experience working in school settings; COTA (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant) background is a plus
- Strong understanding of pediatric therapy principles and special education practices
- Background in home health, healthcare, or teletherapy for OT is highly valued
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to creating and implementing individualized therapy plans
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services within a school environment to students with diverse needs
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and monitor progress
- Participate in IEP meetings, contribute detailed reports, and provide recommendations for classroom modifications and accommodations
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate interventions within the students academic routine
- Utilize technology to support teletherapy or remote consultation, as needed
- Provide coaching and guidance for COTA personnel as appropriate
