Job description

Make a difference in the lives of children by bringing your expertise as an Occupational Therapist to a vibrant pediatric outpatient clinic in beautiful South Florida. This contract opportunity offers flexibility and variety, serving a diverse population of children ages 2 to 18 with mild to moderate needsincluding those with high-functioning autism. Enjoy the chance to work part-time (24-30 hours per week) where youll see each child individually, truly focusing on their unique goals and progress.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Florida OT license required
  • Medicaid provider number required
  • Background in school-based or pediatric OT practice
  • Experience working with children ages 2 to 18
  • Familiarity with mild to moderate developmental delays, reading/writing challenges, and social communication (pragmatics), particularly autism spectrum
  • Strong skills in conducting assessments, evaluations, and direct interventions
  • Comfortable participating in IEP meetings and collaborating with educational teams

Responsibilities:

  • Perform individualized assessments and evaluations for pediatric clients
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to address receptive/expressive language, reading, writing, and pragmatic skills
  • Deliver direct therapy with a one-on-one approach for optimal outcomes
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams and attend IEP meetings as needed
  • Maintain thorough documentation and uphold clinic standards
