Job description
Step into a rewarding part-time contract role as an Occupational Therapist, supporting childrens growth and independence in a dynamic school setting for the 20262027 academic year. This position is conveniently housed at a single campus near Gaston, SC, alleviating the stress of traveling between sites and allowing you more time to focus on meaningful student impact.
What youll do:
- Deliver both direct and consultative occupational therapy interventions tailored to students IEP goals
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, ongoing progress monitoring, and consistent goal documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure holistic support for every student
- Participate in team meetings and contribute insight to help drive successful outcomes
- Document and report interventions, outcomes, and parent communications according to school procedures
What youll bring:
- Active or pending Occupational Therapy license for the state, in good standing
- A Masters degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Experience or knowledge in school-based therapy, healthcare, home health, or teletherapy (preferred)
- Ability to pass state-required background and fingerprinting checks
- Effective communication and team-focused attitude
Role details at a glance:
- Part-time schedule, ~24 hours/week
- Paid indirect and collaborative planning/meeting time
- Manageable caseload (around 27 students) with no multi-school travel
- Contract runs from August 13, 2026 through May 28, 2027
- Open to both local and relocating travel therapists
