In this role, youll provide essential therapeutic services across school settings, delivering impactful support to students while enjoying the flexibility of a contract assignment. This position covers a full-time schedule for the school year and offers exposure to various therapy models, including in-person, home health, and teletherapy.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Active and unrestricted OT license in Virginia
• Prior experience in school-based occupational therapy preferred
• Proficiency in a range of service delivery models: school site, home health, healthcare, and teletherapy
• Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and experience collaborating on multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Flexibility to work as an itinerant therapist and travel between locations if needed

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy services as outlined in students IEPs
• Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and maintain progress documentation
• Collaborate with educators, families, and other service providers for whole-child support
• Participate in IEP meetings (admin and team meeting time provided)
• Deliver services in a variety of school settings and via teletherapy as needed
• Adapt therapy sessions and consult with staff to maximize student success
