Job description
Step into a rewarding role supporting students’ growth and independence as a contract Occupational Therapist. This unique .2 FTE (1 day per week) opportunity is designed for a dedicated professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality OT services in a school-based setting. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in Washington State
- Pediatric and/or school-based occupational therapy experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of IEP processes, goal writing, and progress monitoring
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with students, educators, and families
- Ability to manage a caseload efficiently and deliver both direct and consultative OT services
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ strengths and areas for support within the school environment
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals
- Deliver direct interventions and consultative services to students in collaboration with teachers and support staff
- Document therapy sessions, progress, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
- Participate in IEP meetings and team consultations, contributing OT expertise to inform educational programming
- Offer guidance and training to school staff on classroom accommodations and strategies to foster student independence
