Job description

This onsite contract role near Arlington Heights, IL, offers the chance to make a real difference by working closely with a diverse group of students within both general education and specialized instructional programs.
In this position, youll work 32.5 hours per week and manage a manageable caseload of 38 students, providing direct intervention and consultation as part of a dedicated school-based team. Your work will help students build the crucial skills they need for academic achievement and daily living.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Illinois Occupational Therapist (OT) License required
- Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Knowledge of supporting students in general education and specialized instructional program (SIP) environments
- Familiarity with district or state-specific requirements, such as an Illinois PEL, is a plus
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services consistent with IEP goals and student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Adapt therapeutic approaches to best serve a range of student abilities
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and consultation with staff
