Step into an enriching contract opportunity where you’ll make a direct impact supporting K-12 students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). This full-time role offers you the chance to work in a collaborative educational setting located near the NC border—just outside Axton and only 1.5 hours south of Roanoke. You’ll join a dedicated team from now through the end of the school year, fostering growth and encouraging independence among young learners.

In this unique position, you will work closely with two virtual Occupational Therapists to carry out therapy sessions and support a diverse K-12 student caseload. Your passion for pediatric care and adaptability will help students build vital skills for the classroom and beyond.

Qualifications:

• Valid COTA certification and licensure
• Previous experience in schools or pediatric settings preferred
• Comfortable collaborating with remote Occupational Therapists
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Ability to adapt to diverse student needs across elementary, middle, and high school levels

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct therapy services as prescribed by supervising OTs
• Implement individualized educational program (IEP) goals and track progress
• Record and maintain thorough student documentation
• Communicate regularly with virtual OTs, teachers, and support staff
• Contribute to team meetings and planning for student success
• Encourage a positive and engaging atmosphere for all learners
