Job description
Job Summary:
The Occupational Therapist - Weekend is responsible for evaluating patients, formulating specific treatment goals, developing and implementing treatment plans, and collaborating with other health care providers and families. Provide quality and evidence-based treatments to patient populations including but not limited to Stroke, Orthopedics, TBI, Trauma. Prepare and maintain patient care documentation in a timely manner. Provide supervision to COTAs and weekend students. Assist in the training of new staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
NYS Licensed & Registered Occupational Therapist, degree required for licensure, and two years of eligible experience required.
Candidates who possess degree required for licensure, NYS OT license/registration or Limited Permit or eligible and less than 2 years experience will be considered for appointment to an entry-level (SL2) position at commensurate salary.
CPR-BLS certification required at time of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications:
2 years of experience preferred
Work Days:
Must be available to work at least two weekend days a month, day shift.
