Job description

Looking to make a meaningful impact in education? We're seeking a dedicated, in-person Occupational Therapist (OTR) to support students for a full-time, contract opportunity throughout the entire school year. Located near Warren, MI, this rewarding position places you within a collaborative educational environment, where your expertise can promote student growth and success across diverse age groups.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Must hold current Occupational Therapist (OTR) licensure valid in Michigan.
  • Experience working within school settings, providing OT services to students.
  • Proficiency in evaluation, goal-setting, and treatment planning tailored to school-aged children.
  • Ability to develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with educational teams.
  • Strong communication and organization skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining documentation and progress reports according to district requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students across assigned caseloads in-person.
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to optimize student participation and access to curriculum.
  • Perform assessments, write reports, and contribute to eligibility, IEP, and 504 processes.
  • Develop intervention plans designed to improve fine motor, sensory regulation, self-help, and functional academic skills.
  • Provide support and strategies to classroom teams, adapting materials as needed.
  • Maintain accurate, timely records of interventions and student progress.
