Job description

Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting young learners as an Occupational Therapist substitute covering a maternity leave. This role runs from August 24th through November 11th, and offers a 2–3 day-per-week schedule working within an elementary school and an Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) classroom.

Utilize your school-based OT expertise to empower students and collaborate with a dedicated educational team in a dynamic, supportive environment. Your skills will help children gain confidence and succeed throughout their school day.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
  • Current Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility for licensure) in the state
  • Prior experience working in school settings, especially with elementary and/or ECSE populations
  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational abilities
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a collaborative education-focused environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and deliver individualized OT interventions for students
  • Develop and implement goals as part of IEP (Individualized Education Program) teams
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
  • Document progress and participate in case conferences as needed
  • Provide consultation and support for classroom strategies that enhance participation
  • Contribute to a positive school atmosphere, supporting diverse student needs
