Job description

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Active OT state licensure (or eligibility)
  • Previous experience working in school settings is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of IEP process and ability to develop and implement therapy plans
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
  • Organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload with varying needs
  • Passion for making a meaningful impact on students educational journeys

Role Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students needs and develop individualized therapy treatment plans
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, incorporating sensory-motor, fine motor, and visual motor strategies
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to support students educational goals
  • Contribute to IEP meetings and maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
  • Offer consultation and in-class support to modify materials and adapt environments
  • Monitor and report on progress toward student goals, making adjustments as needed
  • Deliver training and resources to school staff and caregivers as appropriate
