Job description

This part-time, contract position requires 25 hours per week of dedicated service, supporting students in a collaborative school environment near Manhattan, IL.

Ideal candidates are compassionate, driven, and enthusiastic about working in a school setting. Utilizing your OT skills, youll provide targeted interventions, collaborate with a supportive team, and help students achieve greater independence and success in their academic and functional activities.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current Occupational Therapist licensure in Illinois
  • Prior experience in school-based or pediatric settings strongly preferred
  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload efficiently and independently
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with teachers, staff, and families
  • Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation procedures

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students
  • Deliver direct and consultative OT services tailored to students needs
  • Monitor progress and adjust interventions, updating documentation regularly
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate closely with staff and families
  • Support teachers with strategies and accommodations within the classroom
  • Foster an inclusive, engaging environment that encourages student success
