Job description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity for the 2026-2027 school year as a skilled Occupational Therapist providing vital support in a welcoming educational setting near Kenosha, WI. Help create positive learning experiences for elementary students by delivering specialized therapies that foster growth, independence, and access to the curriculum.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold a valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Wisconsin
- Experience with school-based OT services preferred
- Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Compassionate and patient approach to working with elementary-aged children
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of 35-45 students, primarily elementary level
- Conduct assessments, develop goals, and implement therapy plans tailored to individual students’ needs
- Collaborate with educators, special education staff, and families to promote student success and inclusion
- Maintain accurate documentation of progress, reports, and required paperwork
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to the multi-disciplinary team
- Adapt strategies and materials to ensure access to educational opportunities for all students
