Desired Background & Skills:

  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in New Jersey
  • Experience in school-based OT is strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in home health, teletherapy, or general pediatric OT settings a plus
  • Ability to tailor therapeutic strategies to group and individual student needs
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • General comfort with technology for teletherapy, if needed
  • Compassion and adaptability when engaging diverse student populations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate small group therapy for students:
    • 15 sessions per year, 30 minutes each
    • 20 sessions per year, 30 minutes each
  • Provide consultative services:
    • 1 monthly, 30-minute group consult
    • 1 monthly, 30-minute individual consult
    • 5 sessions annually, 10-minute consults
  • Conduct individualized therapy:
    • 15 sessions per year, 30 minutes each
  • Document progress and collaborate with school staff and families to support student outcomes
  • Utilize evidence-based interventions and adjust strategies as students grow and change
