This contract opportunity, running from August 24, 2026, through June 3, 2027, offers both full-time and part-time options for passionate professionals. The work schedule aligns with regular school hours, Monday through Friday, from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM, at two welcoming middle schools in the Arlington Heights, IL area.

As part of a supportive and collaborative group of eight Occupational Therapists, you will contribute essential services to students and staff. This role is ideal for someone who values teamwork, innovation, and making a measurable difference in student success.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current state licensure and registration as an OT
  • Prior experience providing OT services in a school setting strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with evaluation procedures for special education eligibility
  • Ability to deliver effective MTSS and IEP-related interventions
  • Strong consultation skills with educational teams to foster skill generalization
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform initial and re-evaluations to determine eligibility for special education services
  • Provide direct OT support for students under MTSS and IEP frameworks
  • Serve as a core member of building-level multidisciplinary teams
  • Collaborate closely with staff, students, and parents to deliver consultative support
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies that promote student independence and participation
