Overview

• Department: Occupational Therapy - Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit
• Schedule: Per Diem (as needed) days 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
• Facility: Resurrection Medical Center
• Location: 7435 W Talcott Ave, Chicago, IL 60631

• Lead Intensive Functional Recovery: Work in a dedicated Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) where you provide intensive daily therapy to help patients with life-altering conditions, such as stroke or spinal cord injuries, regain their independence.
• Expert Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Partner daily with Physiatrists, rehab nurses, and social workers in a high-energy environment built on the shared goal of achieving successful community discharge for every patient.
• Utilize Advanced Rehab Technology: Access specialized ADL suites and innovative therapeutic tools designed to simulate real-world environments, ensuring patients are physically and cognitively prepared for the transition back to home.

Responsibilities

Provides medically prescribed consultative and therapeutic services within scope of practice in order to restore function and prevent disability for clients or patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular and cardiopulmonary disorders.  Performs responsibilities in accordance with department and Hospital Policies, state, federal and regulatory requirements: Title 22 Section 70517, 70519. Functions according to professional practice as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1.     Bachelor or Master Degree in Occupational Therapy.

2.     Current state Occupational Therapy certification/license.

3.     Current BCLS (AHA) certificate.

4.     National Board for Certification Occupational Therapy certification, AOTA and OTAC preferred.

Pay Transparency

Resurrection Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is a flat rate of $45.35 The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
