Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an Occupational Therapist, you provide and supervise occupational therapy treatment to Adult Day Health Care (ADHC) participants. In addition, the team member acts as a consultant to Leadership of the department.

Every day you will establish and maintain effective communication while adhering to expectations of professionalism and camaraderie with co-workers, peers, supervisors and all persons with whom this role must interact in furtherance of completing all job duties.

To be successful in this role, you must be flexible, adaptable, exceptionally organized, and a personable, motivating team player.

  • Evaluates the functional capabilities of new ADHC participants and records data on the functional assessment form
  • Makes regular progress notes when necessary and ensures are regulatory and organizational items are met
  • Re-evaluates all participants as necessary and records the re-evaluation
  • Establishes realistic treatment goals and sets up treatment plans for participants needing occupational therapy as prescribed by the referring physician
  • Instructs participant's relatives, program aides and others in relevant methods of care and treatment which they can carry out
  • Acts as a consultant and advisor to ADHC staff
Job Requirements

Required

  • Graduate of a school of occupational therapy approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association, upon hire
  • Occupational Therapist: CA (OT:CA), upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR), upon hire (Must be through the American Heart Association)
